How much do you charge?
Depends on the work required. I charge on a ‘per image’ or ‘per job’ basis. Please send me a small JPEG or PDF with retouching instructions and I’ll be happy to provide you with a quote.
How long does it take?
Depends on the retouching required and the scope of the job. Typically images can be turned around within 24 hours. In a RUSH!? Talk to me..

Is there anything you can't retouch?
Working with so many subjects over the years I am comfortable retouching any image.
Do you have a particular 'style' of retouching?
No, images shouldn’t look retouched.
Have you always worked on your own?
I have been on my own for several years. Prior to that I worked in the pre-press industry retouching.
What is your training?
I took a five year apprenticeship in colour and pre-press. I have a creative, artistic background which lends itself well to retouching. I started in the 1980’s working on a mainframe retouching computer system called a: ‘HELL Chromacom system’ They were big, difficult to learn and expensive! Took months to learn the cryptic German commands. I also worked with PC’s, Silicon Graphics and Mac computers. Software programs included, Alias Eclipse and Barco Creator. I was exposed to retouching thousands of images for the biggest photographers and ad agencies in town. Tight deadlines, feedback and working with real pros made me the retoucher I am today.

I used to teach new retouchers on various retouching software programs when I was in the pre-press industry, but I no longer teach.

I had 2 old photos of family members that my mom had wanted restored for some time. The one photo was extremely damaged. We emailed back and forth, and I was given a quote and estimation for when the work would be complete. From first contact until the photos were delivered to me took only 4 days. I contacted Glenn based on the previous Google reviews for editing a family portrait (lighting issue) to turn into a canvas print. We went through 4 iterations of editing via emails and phone calls until we reached the final version. I was initially worried that I was being too picky, but Glenn was professional and receptive of my feedback each time. The end result felt like a cooperative effort. I had a very old picture which was a little bigger than a post card stamp. Even though the picture had its imperfections, Glen retouched those areas in a very natural looking way. I asked him to retouch and lighten a few other areas as well, which he did. Basically whatever you need done, Glen will do his best to make it happen. He will keep working on the project until you're completely satisfied, and you really get a sense that its his number one priority. Glen did a phenomenal job on my project, and I couldn't be happier with the final outcome.

Glenn provided excellent, speedy service which totally fulfilled my requirements. I provided 3 photos to create one composite photo which included all the people (some of whom were only on one photo), with everyone smiling and looking the same way. He was creative in the structuring and composition of the draft, and retouched the colours and shading of the final copy. I was extremely impressed with his professionalism and skill. I recently had a number of old black-white family negatives and photos restored and placed on disc by Glenn Honiball of "Retouch.ca". Most of these dated from the 1930's through to the 1950's and were of definite sentimental value to me. One large framed aerial photo was particularly damaged. He did a fine job of producing a retouched high resolution image which I was then able to have printed. I was more than pleased with the results and service.
